Tule Raft |
| The Ohlone of the San Francisco-Monterey Bay Area built boats made of tule reeds. Unlike the more elaborate plank boats of the Chumash of the Santa Barbara Channel, the Ohlone tule boats lasted only a season. These boats were left behind when it was time to move on. |
