Mochila

A special saddle modified to reflect carrying official Spanish orders from Mexico City to San Francisco.
Mochila

Recreated memorabilia related to the Anza historic expedition reenactment is kept in various locations. The Mochila (present-day Spanish for "back-pack') saddle for carrying orders from Mexico City to San Francisco and handed from person to person at county lines, was on display in Monterey.
