Santa Cruz River

Santa Cruz River, south of Tucson, Arizona.
Santa Cruz River

South of Tucson today, the Santa Cruz river has flowing water and abundant riparian vegetation. This river provided dependable water for the expedition as far as Tucson, where it went underground. This view shown is near an Anza campsite.
